Hello

Today we had our last class in our trimester and this year! We showed our short Toy Story. I hope your parents liked it, you did it very well!  Well done!


We announced our winners today. Our Olympic Games winner is Marco Castaño!

The dragon wanted to be the guardian of the gate but it had to fight with

Today we were rehearsing our small Toy Story. It´ll be fun!

Class 11. Friday 05/12

Hello

Hey, today we were rehearsing our small Toy Story. We have some decorations already (zoo gates and a lake - wonderful!)

What else do we need:
a tree (Javier)
a bag or a sack (Alberto) 
a small scarf for Panda
a big cloth to make a stage
a blue kerchief (pañuelo) to make a lake

As we´re rehearsing at the class, you still can get extra points doing tasks in the blog.
This class students who did the task (Alberto and Marco) got - 3 extra points!

A week with Charizard

WEEK WITH CHARIZARd

We do many things:

Play a basketball match at 12:00.a.m. on Saturday. My basketball team is called Vazquez-Montalvan. We play in the Europe Pabellon. We win the match and Charizar it was happy.

On Sunday we go to skate at 2:58 p.m.

I play basketball twice a week on Monday and Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.

On Thursday we celebrate my mum´s birthday with Charizar and my grandparents go to my house .

We eat old cake.

It was very funny!

Hello

Today we talked about unusual schools.

How do you like a school on the water?
The classroom there is a boat and students learn practical skills - to swim, row, navigate a boat etc.

Also we listened to some children speaking about homeschooling.
What are advantages and disadvantages?

You don´t have to wake up early and take a bus.
But you don´t have classmates and friends. You don´t have after-school activities etc.

You had a chance to creat your own "Dream School". What kind of school is it? Where is it? Is it in the forest or mountains? What do students study there? What do they have/don´t have to do?

You were very creative and here´re our projects:

Today we learnt some new grammar structures : HAVE TO/DON´T HAVE TO. We use them to say what is obligatory to do or not at school.

Mandy is at new school:

I have to take a bus.
I have to get up early.
I have to have lunch in the canteen.
BUT:
I don´t have to wear a uniform.
I don´t have to clean my classroom.

Its name is LAND OF FIRE. It´s five years old.It´s nice, soft, clever and very friendly.

Hello!
Our blog competition started the previous week. So, publish your stories with the Dragon in the blog. Also don´t forget to vote for the stories of others - look at your blog and the one from C5 Monday and C5 Wednesday  there´re also stories where you can vote!
 
Also we continued talking about school and school subjects. We checked your homework where you had to write about your school day. 

We listened to a girl talking about her school time-table. 

We revised the time expressions of frequency: once/twice a week, three times a week, every day etc. 


You talked about your school week and answered the questions:
Which subjects do you have most often/least often?
Which subjects are you best at?
How often do you have each subject?


Your homework is to watch a video where different students are talking about their favourite subjects and write down - what subjects they like and why.

And one more video - "What´s your typical school day" (a bit difficult) - write down what subjects she has got. Don´t forget to write down your ideas for our Toy Story!

Hello!

This week we´ve got some news!

We´re organising a blog competition "My Week with the Dragon". You´ll have to post your stories about your week with the Dragon here in the blog. Write a story, post photos and put any interesting links in the Internet. The rest of the class has to vote for the story in the comments of the blog below, you can give your points from 1 to 10 for the story you like. The story that gets the most points in the end of the trimestre - wins a surprise!

All right, so lots of plans! Today we´ve revised the vocabulary from our new topic - school subjects and what we study:
We study the science of numbers and shapes - Maths.
We study the events from the past - History.
We study the parts of living things - Biology etc.

We had our Olympic Games and got the following points:

Player 3 - 8 points
Player 4 - 12 points
Player 5 - 13 points
Player 6 - 14 points
Player 7 - 10 points

We also watched a short video about a school day in Britain and we found out a lot of interesting things about a Lollipop Lady, school subjects, school day, canteen etc.

We listened to Adriana talking about her school day, the subjects she likes/dislikes and why:

I like P.E., because it´s fun.
I like Science, because the teacher is nice etc.

Your homework is to write about your school day (what subjects you´ve got, what time). Write about subjects you like/love/hate/can´t stand etc. and explain why. (Do it in your notebooks).

 This week a lucky student is Javier who spends a week with the Dragon. Write your story in the blog.

Hello!

Today we had an unusual class - Halloween Class where you were teachers yourselves! It was super!

You prepared lots of funny Halloween activities and had scary Halloween costumes!
