Class 4. Friday 17/10

Hello!

Today we learnt some useful grammar:
I like/love/hate playing football. (Gerund)
I like/love/hate to play football. (Infinitive) (these sentences mean the same)

BUT:
I´m good at playing the guitar.
I´m bad at speaking French. (after these phrases - Gerund ONLY).

We listened to Roberto´s hobbies and sports and interviewed our parnters:
I love playing volleyball, but my partner loves playing football etc.

We also did a very fun sports quiz. You needed some general knowledge and English to answer the quesions. You did it very well. Here´re our Olympic Games results:
Player 1 - 10 points
Player 2 - 13 points
Player 3 - 10 points
Player 4 -  points
Player 5 - 10 points
Player 6 - 13 points
Player 7 - 13 points

 Well done!

Today we also listened to Alberto´s project - his week with our DRAGON:
His name is Charizard. He´s 9 years old and lives in Polvoranca park. He likes to eat fish.
Alberto has written a short profile of the dragon, that we´ll have on our stand.
Here´s a photo of Alberto and a dragon:

Next lucky student is CLAUDIA. The task is the same - spend a week with a dragon and prepare a short story about it.
(Prepare a project in advance, take photos, draw a picture, write a short story etc.)

Your homework is to prepare a project "My favourite sport or hobby". But this time you have to post them in the blog as a seperate entry. There you can post pictures, photos, video or Internet links. Then at the class we´ll vote for the most interesting project.
Remember that apart from writing it in the blog you have to speak about your sport/hobby in the class (NOT to read it!) .

Here´re some questions that will help you to plan your project:
What´s your favourite sport/hobby?
Where do you play/do it?
How often do you play/do it?
What equipment do you need for it?
How many people play/do it?
What do you wear for it? (if there´re any special clothes)
When did you start playing/doing it?
Are you good/bad at it? Would you like to learn to do it?
What is the aim (objetivo) of the game/sport?

Why do you like it?

Good luck!
